Stock Donation

Gifts of long-term appreciated stock or mutual funds offer a quick, easy and tax-efficient way to make a lasting contribution to The Apprenticeshop. Your gift will support the quality of our programs.

We are very grateful for your donation to The Apprenticeshop. Following are instructions for transferring stock to us.

1. For stock certificates in your physical possession:
Please write a letter of instruction to LPL Financial that you wish to deposit the stock, # of shares, to the Account of The Atlantic Challenge Foundation, d/b/a The Apprenticeshop, Account #1793-4922. Please include your name and address and tax ID # on the letter of instruction. Do not fill in The Apprenticeshop’s name, but do sign the certificate. This becomes a legal document once signed. Send the stock certificate with Letter of Instruction to The Apprenticeshop.

2. For Stock held by your broker:
Please instruct your broker to electronically transfer the stock to The Apprenticeshop’s account at LPL Financial #1793-4922 via Free Delivery to DTC 0075 for further credit to The Apprenticeshop’s account. Our account registration name is Atlantic Challenge Foundation, A Nonprofit Organization.

The letter of instruction from your broker should contain the following information:

Our Account Number at LPL Financial Services: 1793-4922
Apprenticeshop Tax ID number: 22-3132234

A full description of the stock being transferred to us, including the number of shares and the CUSIP number, which your broker will know, if applicable.

The instruction letter should be sent electronically to LPL Financial. DTC number is 0075.

Please ask your broker either to mail or fax a copy of your donation intention to us directly, so we can be sure to acknowledge your gift properly. Please direct it to the Development Director.
