Students sail in classic designs & modern keel boats.
Along with learning how to rig and sail, our youth students (ages 8 to 18) experience the satisfaction of mastering new skills and joining a waterfront community that provides a wide range of maritime activities in midcoast Maine.
On the southern edge of Penobscot Bay, Rockland Harbor provides an beautiful, sheltered location with a wide variety of sailing conditions.

We strive to make our programs available regardless of financial considerations. Thanks to the generous support from individual donors and foundations, we are able to provide scholarships to local sailors who would not otherwise be able to afford a summer sailing experience. Request a scholarship application by calling 207-594-1800 or download: 2013 Rockland Community Sailing Scholarship Application and mail to The Apprenticeshop. Scholarship applications are due June 1, 2013.
