The first 24 years of his life was spent far from the sea in Kansas where he studied math, computer science and physics as an undergraduate at Mid-America Nazarene University and began graduate work in architecture at the University of Kansas.
Apprenticeshop Manager
Isabella Pierson
Isabella enrolled in the Apprenticeshop and moved to Maine in 2005 to learn how to build things with her hands. Her apprenticeship lead to three rewarding years working as a boat carpenter at Rockport Marine, Inc. The desire to explore and build things of her own design took her to the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine, for a three month intensive course in furniture building. When the opportunity arose for her to return to the Apprenticeshop, where her passion for building had been nurtured, she jumped. Isabella holds a Master of Urban Planning from New York University. In her spare time she dreams of building useful and beautiful things.
