Learn to sail and meet new people! Group classes can accommodate up to 6 participants total (we require a minimum of 3 participants to run a class). We offer a variety of classes designed for all skill levels, taught by Apprenticeshop sailing instructors in our traditional wooden boats. All sailing classes require one adult to accompany youth 12-17 years.
This 3 hour class is perfect for complete beginners or sailors who want to refresh their skills. Skills covered may include the following; parts of the boat, rigging/getting underway, identifying points of sail, risk assessment, observing conditions, tides and currents, tacking/jibing, rules of the road, laying a course, docking/picking up a mooring. No experience necessary to participate!
Bundle this class with our Sailing Skills - Intermediate Class and receive a 10% discount! You must take Sailing Skills - Beginner first.
